In November, the Water Utility Climate Aliance's Stormwater and Wastewater Committee kicked off the “Scaling and Application of Climate Projections to Stormwater and Wastewater Resilience Planning” project in conjunction with Pathways Climate Institute.
The project will produce a roadmap of established and emerging practices that can help utilities gain a better understanding of how climate change science can be scaled and applied to planning, design, and decision-making processes.
In January, the project team launched two national surveys – one for community members and the other for utility staff and practitioners - to collect information on extreme precipitation event impacts and the status of efforts to use climate data in various applications within the stormwater and wastewater sector. Survey information will be used to further develop best practices in resilience planning.
The project team is soliciting survey responses through February 14, 2022. Please go to (https://tinyurl.com/2p9yekt5) to take the survey.
